Amtrak Loss Comes To $32 Per Passenger: Study
![]()
No they don’t. This is a huge lie.
This study (no studies) take into account anything that cannot be measured directly in dollars.
This does not take into account for auto accidents that do not occur because people ride trains, or insurance premiums saved, or carbon emissions not emitted because these people do not pollute nearly as much as the average automobile driver, and the list goes on and on.
Nice try.
Give carbon emissions a dollar value, then do the math again.
Put a dollar value on auto accident deaths, then do the math again.
