Accountability

It’s funny. After everything this nation has endured over the last 20 years, people still fight each other over the name Democrat and Republican.

If you have not come to the conclusion that what we have had is not working for the majority of Americans, or leading us down the path that this country was born to run, you are sad little people.

To let emotions and petty arguments get in the way of reshaping this country is treasonous.

You don’t understand that this country has been raped to the point of near depression under years of corporate lobby?

You cannot understand that the lack of a universal healthcare system costs more than actually implementing one?

You would force a raped woman to carry a child to term because you think that a few cells have rights over that of the woman that must give of herself for that cell to survive?

We should have let the financial markets collapse. We should have made everyone pay for the ignorance and fantasy that has gotten us to this point.

I really think it will take that kind of pain to make people understand how important it is to stop fighting each other, and start thinking about the few things we all have in common. Like our children’s future.

700 billion is $200 for every man woman and child alive in America, and that’s only the budget for the pentagon each year.

There will be a lot of blame games in the next few months.

There is however one entity that is accountable. The person in charge when it happened. That is why we have management and leadership. So that in the end, there are people that can be held accountable for success or failure.

Failure to hold them responsible is one thing, failure to hold them accountable shows a complete lack of common sense.

The politicians have been so successful at getting people to fight each other over petty differences, you cannot remember what accountability is.

You have become complacent in your duty to ensure the leaders of this country are held accountable to the citizens.

You can argue about responsibility, in that department, we all failed.

But no matter what you stand for, you cannot tell me that the Bush administration, and the Executive Branch are not accountable for the last 8 years of disaster after disaster.

Other than emotions, there is just no way you can justify not holding these people accountable for the duties they are accountable for. “It’s not their fault” just doesn’t hold water, or logic.
